Forest2Market Retains Al Villamil to Lead Market2Mill Sales Efforts

Forest2Market, Charlotte, N.C., has retained consultant Al Villamil to represent the company in its efforts to expand the scope of Market2Mill, its products and services for buyers and sellers of recovered fiber. Forest2Market provides market pricing and supply chain expertise in the forest products, recovered fiber and bioenergy industries.

Suzanne Hearn, Forest2Market vice president of marketing and sales, says, “We brought Al on board to respond to the market’s need for more customized services. His more than 22 years of experience in the industry and his in-depth knowledge of the recovered fiber supply chain will benefit our customers directly. The combination of the data we collect from subscribers about OCC (old corrugated containers, DLK (double-lined kraft) and SOP (sorted office paper) prices and volumes and Al’s expertise will be a powerful tool for helping our customers improve their profitability.”

Villamil co-founded Viking Fibers Inc., Bethleham, Pa., in 1990 and served as vice president there until 2009, when he sold the company to Elof Hansson. Villamil served as senior vice president at Elof Hansson through 2012. He also was president and CEO of ShredStation.
