The Newark Group, headquartered in Cranford, N.J., has announced that the independent auditor SCS Global Services has completed its audit on all six of Newark Group’s recycled paperboard mills and says all six are now Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) chain-of-custody certified.
Along with its recycled paperboard operations The Newark Group operates a network of paper recycling facilities and a converting division.
“This is a significant enhancement for The Newark Group,” says Raymond Vargo Jr., vice president of sales, Newark Paperboard Mills. “The FSC is the gold standard of forest management, and we are proud of this achievement. It is also a valuable resource for our vendors and customers.”
