Forward Waste Management (FWM), a Cardiff, U.K.-based recycling and waste management firm, has acquired the scrap metal recycling company John Ford & Sons, also based in Cardiff.

With the acquisition, Managing Director Richard Ford and the employees of John Ford & Sons transfer to FWM.

Lyndon Ward, managing director of FWM, says, “John Ford & Sons have been long-standing subcontractors to Forward Waste and have become a much-valued service partner, having consistently demonstrated the high level of value, reliability and customer focus that is at the core of our business. As Forward Waste continues to grow exponentially, our metals management operations have become a major activity for us; we’re therefore excited to acquire this well established and trusted metals management firm.”

Ford says, “With a trading history of nearly 100 years serving South Wales industry, I am very pleased to have achieved a successful conclusion to the succession planning of our commercial interests and look forward to joining the Forward Waste team in driving their ongoing scrap metal management operations.”
