The Florida Recycling Partnership and Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a Business Recycling Webinar on Aug. 2 from 10-11 a.m. EST. The virtual event aims to equip businesses with the knowledge and tools needed to implement effective recycling programs and foster a culture of sustainability in the workplace.
The webinar will cover topics such as conducting waste audits, identifying recyclables, best practices for recycling in office buildings, creating and managing green teams and showcasing successful recycling initiatives by leading companies.
“Our goal is to help businesses understand the importance of recycling and provide them with practical steps to make a positive environmental impact,” Florida Beverage Association President and Florida Recycling Partnership Foundation CEO and Chair Liz DeWitt says. “By sharing success stories and expert insights, we hope to inspire more organizations to adopt sustainable practices.”
The Business Recycling Webinar’s featured speakers include:
- Amy Boyson, WM Community Affairs Manager;
- Karen Moore, Florida DEP (invited);
- Chris Perry, Florida DEP (invited);
- Jonathan Bartos, Collier County Recycling Coordinator; and
- Jack Gorman, KPMG Lake Nona Director of Engineering.
Participants will gain insights into setting up and maintaining effective recycling programs, learn from real-world examples and have the opportunity to engage with industry experts and like-minded professionals. The webinar provides a platform for businesses to network and collaborate on sustainability initiatives.
