A fire at World Resource Recovery Systems Inc.’s facility in Cleveland, has destroyed the facility according to several published reports. The fire reportedly broke out early on February 20. Fire crews had to shut down nearby streets while battling the blaze, which spread throughout the multi-story building.
A section of the building collapsed. No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire is under investigation.
Resource Recovery’s Cleveland location provides roll-off services for municipal waste, demolition waste and recycling waste, according to the company’s website. According to fire officials, there were an estimated 1,000 tons of paper inside the building at the time of the blaze.
