FieldTurf announces that it has become the first company in the United States to recycle all the useable parts of the artificial turf system. The company performed the job at War Memorial Stadium in Arkansas. The field was removed and recycled, with FieldTurf’s Duraspine Pro replacing the turf.
The recycled turf will be shredded and converted into useable materials for new artificial turf applications.
“We couldn’t be prouder that our surface will represent the first artificial turf field to be fully recycled,” says Charlie Staffs, War Memorial Stadiums’ general manager. “FieldTurf has proven to be the greenest company in the industry with the highest performing products – a combination that is very impressive. We are thrilled to be installing Duraspine Pro – it’s the best turf in the industry.”
