Fassi Group acquires majority stake in its holding company

Italy-based material handling equipment maker Fassi Group has signed an agreement giving it the majority share of CTELM, the Paris-based holding company to which the French brands Fassi France, Miltra and Marrel belong. The agreement was signed in late January 2017.

Roger Boutonnet will continue as president of CTELM, according to Giovanni Fassi, CEO of the Fassi Group. At the signing event, Boutonnet took the opportunity to outline what he called the excellent results obtained in 2016, both in terms of sales for Marrel and the strengthening of the other subsidiaries. Boutonnet, also a partner in CTELM, emphasized the objectives of growth and continuity that the company has set for the near future.

In a news release announcing the agreement, Fassi Group says, “The new and important role that the Fassi Group will play in CTELM is a further step [toward] its consolidation in the French market.”

Says Giovanni Fassi, “This is an excellent opportunity to develop new commercial synergies for the CRANAB and JEKKO brands, which already form part of our group.”

Fassi Group also says the transaction “confirms its intention to consolidate its market position as a point of reference on an international level in the logistic, construction, recycling and forestry sectors.”
