Five workers at a Douglas County aerosol plant were "seriously" burned earlier this week in at least five and up to 15 explosions that blew the roof from a two-story building at the plant of Depressurized Technologies International facility in Minden, Nevada.
According to local press reports fire marshals have not yet determined a cause for the explosion, although it appears it was an accident.
Phillips Services, a hazardous materials contractor hired by the company, is completing a plan to remove aerosol products from the building.
The facility was recently was inspected by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection. Officials said the company passed an inspection in August related to their activity in recycling products, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal.
