Exodus Machines, a Superior, Wis.-based manufacturer of material handlers for the scrap and waste markets, has announced the appointment of its senior management team.
The new team consists of Bruce Bacon, president; Greg Bacon, vice president of sales and marketing; and Jim Campbell, vice president of manufacturing. According to a news release from Exodus, the team will guide the company as it prepares to introduce its first models to the recycling industry.
Bruce Bacon, Exodus’ president, is co-founder and former general manager of Genesis Attachments, an equipment maker also based in Superior. “Starting Exodus Machines is one of the most challenging — yet undeniably the most exciting — moves I’ve made in my professional career,” he says. “I have long felt that we in this country have the knowledge, expertise and commitment to manufacture a material handler that’s equal to or better than any machine at work in the world today. This is our chance for us to prove that out. We have assembled a team that shares those beliefs and we will operate with an unparalleled degree of openness between ourselves and our customers.”

Greg Bacon, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing, is also a veteran of Genesis, where he held the positions of regional sales manager and marketing manager. He cites Exodus’ commitment to accessibility as key to its efforts. “We established Exodus Machines with a specific philosophy of having direct communication with our customers at every turn. Allowing an unhindered link between the company and its customers helps everyone: we gain a clearer understanding of how we can serve our customers, and our customers benefit when we react quickly and appropriately to their needs.”
Jim Campbell, vice president of manufacturing, brings more than 20 years of manufacturing experience to his position. Most recently he managed the manufacturing function for Genesis Attachments where he earned certification in lean manufacturing, knowledge that he will apply to the operation at Exodus. “This is an outstanding opportunity for
someone like me — a chance to take a really groundbreaking idea from the concept phase and see it all the way through to production,” he says. “We have the talent here to design and manufacture a genuinely unique material handler that will provide productivity, reliability and operator comfort, the likes of which have never been seen before. I have no doubt the industry is going to sit up and take notice when we debut our first units.”
