Commerce, Calif.-based eWaste Center Inc. (EWC), an electronics recycling company with operations in Los Angeles and Seattle, has been awarded a contract from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to collect and recycle its electronic scrap.
The LAUSD has announced a goal to reduce the amount of waste it disposes of in landfills by 70 percent between 1990 and 2020.
“EWC is dedicated to protecting our environment and helping our communities and is honored to provide our recycling experience and expertise to the nation’s second largest school district to help achieve its electronic waste recycling goals,” says Joung Lim, CEO of EWC.
