Evraz North America Expands Leadership Staff

Steel company names John Zanieski president of recycling.

The Chicago-based steel company Evraz North America has announced the promotion of John Zanieski to the position of president of Evraz Recycling and Jacob Lubbe to the position of senior vice president, manufacturing development and supply chain.

As president of Evraz Recycling, Zanieski will manage the company's scrap procurement and recycling operations. He brings more than 25 years of professional experience with both public and private companies, most recently at Precision Castparts Corp. where he was their general manager and vice president of West Coast Operations.

Lubbe, who recently served as Evraz North America’s vice president, manufacturing development, will continue to lead the improvement and standardization of the company's manufacturing performance. Lubbe, who joined Evraz more than one year ago, has been involved with overseeing implementation of 6S and other lean manufacturing practices across the company's operations.

Before joining Evraz, he was the plant manager at Cleveland-based Charter Steel and held several management positions within Gerdau Ameristeel.
