Event Yields 65,000 Pounds of Electronics

California collection event recovers obsolete electronics for recycling.

Castro Valley, Calif., residents dropped off more than 65,000 pounds of electronics to the Castro Valley Sanitary District’s fourth annual E-Waste Collection Day.

 

Fresno, Calif.-based Electronics Recyclers partnered with the sanitary district to collect electronics at the event, which was July 15.

 

Computer monitors, televisions, laptops, computer peripherals and cell phones were among the items residents brought to the city’s Canyon Middle School parking lot for collection.
