Several European paper industry and recycling trade organizations are co-sponsoring an awards reception event entitled “From Paper to Publishing: Creating Value for Europe.”
The Sept. 29 evening event will take place on the first floor of the European Parliament Building in Brussels. Among the groups sponsoring it are CEPI, the EPRC and several national paper industry and paper recycling organizations.
A promotional flier for the event lists as highlights of the evening:
- A panel discussion hosted by Member of Parliament Jorgo Chatzimarkakis and moderated by Peter Phippen of the BBC. Panelists will be drawn from the publishing and paper industries as well as from government and environmental advocacy groups.
- Prince Laurent of Belgium will help present the 2009 European Paper Recycling Awards to winners “who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment in promoting paper recycling.”
- A “jazz media lounge” will offer live music and drinks in a “meet and greet” setting.
More information on the event can be found at www.faep.org/pmg.
