IFAT 2002, the world's leading tradeshow for waste disposal and the environment, experienced record-breaking attendance for international visitors.
Of the nearly 100,000 visitors, more than 30,000 came from 122 countries outside of Germany. This represents a 75 percent increase compared to the 17,000 international visitors at the last show.
"The dramatic increase in U.S. and international attendance confirms IFAT's status as the leading industry trade show for professionals in the waste disposal, recycling and environmental industries," said Michael E. Libow, president and CEO. "IFAT 2002 gave U.S. visitors and exhibitors alike the opportunity to meet and interact with other industry professionals on a global level - and the same will be true when IFAT is held again in 2005."
