Consulting firm Eunomia, based in Bristol, United Kingdom, has created a new resource efficiency and circular economy team that will be led by Mark Hilton. Eunomia says Hilton brings more than 30 years of experience encompassing everything from eco-design and sustainable procurement to process efficiency and behaviour change, covering many sectors of industry.
Hilton, along with additional team members including Alex Forrest and Dan Whittaker, will work from Eunomia’s new office in Manchester, England.
“Team members boast a track record of delivering practical solutions for blue chip private clients including Aggreko, BMW, EDF Energy, Dell, Heinz, Subway, Toshiba, UK Power Networks, National Grid, Carillion and many more,” says Eunomia in a news release. “They are equally at home when it comes to undertaking research and developing new policy in the field, having worked extensively for the U.K. government, WRAP, Zero Waste Scotland, and various branches of the European Commission.”
The new team already is engaged in a wide variety of projects, including a study on circular economy indicators for the European Commission, according to Eunomia. Work for Zero Waste Scotland is under way on both reverse logistics and procurement in the context of a circular economy, and on resource efficient construction. The team is also working with WRAP on a study into more durable products, says Eunomia.
“This new team will link closely with our established area of expertise in related areas of policy, and will allow us to offer advice to businesses at the sharp end of delivering a circular economy,” says Eunomia Chairman Dr. Dominic Hogg. “Business practices and policy are co-evolving and we are keen to shape the evolution on both sides. These insights will also benefit our clients working in waste collection, recycling and re-use, to whom who we’ll be able to give a clear view regarding the shape of things to come, and how they can stay ahead of the curve.”
Eunomia Research & Consulting Ltd. was established in 2001 and describes itself as an independent consultancy dedicated to adding value to organisations through the delivery of improved outcomes. The firm has more than 60 employees in the U.K. and has offices in Bristol, London, Manchester in the U.K. plus in Brussels and in Auckland, New Zealand.
