An article by the Melton Times, Melton Mowbray, England, reports that eSynergy Developments Ltd., a Melton-based firm, was honoured for its waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) solutions involving mechanical recycling and thermal conversion of composite materials.
CEO Sean Allinson-Bulma and operations director Kevin Bush received the recognition on behalf of the company at the National Recycling Awards in London July 6, 2016. At the ceremony, he thanked Harworth Estates, Rotherham, U.K., for providing a site to host the project.
“It’s hard to think where else this project could have happened,” Allinson-Bulma said at the ceremony, according to the article. “Not only have our landlords been great, but the county council has been very helpful on planning and the Environmental Agency has been extremely supportive in providing guidance and advice. We have also received encouragement and guidance on innovation funding from Melton Council.”
The paper reports that Bush said, “Adaptation of technology is the key to innovation in resource recovery. We have taken innovative technologies and put them to work in new ways, while developing our own solutions to fill the gaps.”
