Esker Announces "Quit Paper Week"

Company aims to raise awareness for paper reduction from Aug. 18-22.

Esker, a document process automation solutions company based in Madison, Wis., has announced Aug. 18-22, 2008, as "Quit Paper Week." The event will promote efforts to improve business processes by reducing the use of paper and provide resources to assist organizations with initiatives to adopt socially responsible practices.

The event builds upon Esker’s Quit Paper campaign, which challenges today’s businesses to eliminate the paper consumption that document process automation has made unnecessary to help the environment and lower operational costs.

”With green initiatives and strategies to increase process efficiency both at the top of many corporate agendas, there has never been a better time to kick the paper habit,” says Renee Thomas, director of field marketing for Esker. “This week is an opportunity for people in organizations interested in reducing dependency on paper to learn about the tools available and the various areas of the business that can benefit from document process automation.”

As part of the event, Esker encourages customers to visit www.quitpaper.com/confessions.asp to make a pledge to quit paper. For each pledge, Esker will donate one tree to the Arbor Day Foundation and give a Quit Paper T-shirt to the pledger.
