The general assembly of the European Recovered Paper Association (ERPA) has appointed Thomas Braun its new vice president. The appointment was made on Sept. 30.
Braun, the managing director of the German Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management (BVSE), has represented the German recovered paper industry at ERPA since 2004. He also holds the office as a general delegate of the Paper Division for the Brussels-based Bureau of International Recycling (BIR).
Merja Helander of Finland-based Lassila & Tikanoja has been re-elected as president of ERPA, while Cristina Afán of Spain’s RECAPAR was elected vice president.
As ERPA’s vice president, Braun has a seat and a vote at the board of the new European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC), which was created in September 2014.
