The European Recovered Paper Association has named Michael Kühl its new president. He will have a term of two years. He was elected earlier this month in Brussels by ERPA’s General Assembly in Brussels, Belgium.
Kühl is managing director of the Kühl Group of companies, headquartered in Diedorf/Bayern, Germany. The Kühl Group is one of the leading companies in the German Recovered Paper sector. The group is also active in other secondary raw materials such as plastics, glass, electronics and green waste.
Kühl replaces Maarten Kleiweg de Zwaan, who helped developed ERPA into an EU trade organization.
During the meeting, held Feb. 8, ERPA members also unanimously expressed concerns about the European paper industry intention to make Recovered Paper merchants responsible for recycled paper which could come into contacts with food.
