Erie, Pennsylvania-based magnetic and recycling equipment maker Eriez has invested to expand operations at its Eriez-Europe facility in Caerphilly, Wales.
At the Welsh facility, Eriez has added three custom-built paint booths for parts and equipment. “This notable investment underscores the company’s commitment to improving production processes, elevating product quality, strengthening environmental stewardship and facilitating growth across Europe,” the company says.
The recently installed paint booths offer substantial capacity and feature high-temperature oven drying functions designed to greatly reduce production times and to enable faster turnaround of painted products.
“By expanding paint line capacity, heightening efficiency, and supporting the production of a more consistent product while minimizing environmental impact, we are well-poised to embark on our next phase of expansion and sustainability objectives,” says Gareth Thomas, operations director at Eriez-Europe.
Additionally, the booths are equipped with powerful duplex fans that maintain superior air quality within the workspace, “fostering a healthier environment for employees and ensuring impeccable finish quality,” Eriez says.
The new paint booths were commissioned this month and constructed by U.K.-based Rowley Spray Booths. They will apply paint to Eriez components and equipment designed to undertake magnetic separation, metal detection and material handling functions.
Eriez designs, manufactures and markets its product line on six continents. Its operations include 12 wholly owned international subsidiaries and it works with what it calls an extensive sales representative network.
