Eriez 5-Star Service repairs standard and specialized vibratory feeders

Company says it can restore vibratory feeders to ‘like new’ condition for customers.

Erie-Pennsylvania-based Eriez says its 5-Star Service restores customers’ standard and specialized vibratory feeders to “like new” performance, typically at half the cost or less than investing in new equipment. The 5-Star team is headquartered at Eriez’s 5-Star Service Center in Erie, but personnel also can travel to customers’ facilities to offer on-site service and repairs, even on short notice, the company says.

Eric Taylor, Eriez 5-Star Service Center manager, says repairs to specialized and standard vibratory drives often are fairly similar. He explains, “Trays may need to be repaired or replaced due to broken welds or missing parts. Sometimes customers are using feeders for applications that have changed over time without having the equipment professionally modified to match the new requirements. For instance, we often see tray damage resulting from increased tonnage over the years without upgrading equipment to accommodate this flow.”

Vibratory feeder repairs generally include a new electrical assembly, tuning springs, elastomer, shock mounts, diaphragm and smaller components, such as bolts and washers. Eriez offers “as new” warranties of 12-months or longer, depending on the model, on all repairs.

Eriez 5-Star Service includes a wide range of rebuild, repair and recertification programs for a broad variety of processing equipment, including suspended electromagnets, scrap drum magnets, wet drum separators, metal detectors and more
