Eriez 5-Star Service Group Grows in 2010

New service center is equipped with machining, fabricating and welding capabilities.

Eriez says its 5-Star Service Group has experienced growth this year because it keeps customers’ magnetic, vibratory and inspection equipment operating at peak performance while providing 24/7 on-call repair.

The 5-Star Service Group is operated from Eriez’ headquarters in Erie, Pa., and includes a new 5-Star Service Center located within minutes of the company’s headquarters and main production facility.
The 5-Star Service Center is staffed with trained service technicians who, according to the company, expertly handle even the toughest service projects. The service center is equipped with machining, fabricating and welding capabilities to repair or remanufacture a variety of equipment.
Remanufacturing equipment such as suspended magnets, drum magnets, vibratory feeders and wet drum separators can save customers thousands of dollars over buying new equipment, according to the company. Once the project is approved by the customer, equipment is remanufactured to original specifications, tested and given an “as new” warranty. Eriez stores several years of equipment records to help expedite service, so customers can get equipment back online with minimal downtime, the company says, adding that original OEM parts are used on all service work.
5-Star Service technicians also are available to perform on-site audits and repairs, eliminating the need to ship equipment to Eriez. 5-Star technicians also perform regular equipment checks, conduct in-plant certifications and issue detailed reports.
