Colorado company wins Eriez product at 2018 RRF Silent Auction

Andersen’s Sales and Salvage wins Eriez Metal Loss Monitor at 2018 Recycling Research Foundation Silent Auction.

Eriez, Erie, Pennsylvania, announces that Andersen’s Sales and Salvage, Greeley, Colorado, placed the winning bid for a Metal Loss Monitor (MLM) Eriez donated to the 2018 Recycling Research Foundation (RRF) Silent Auction. The auction was held in conjunction with this year’s Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) conference and exposition, ISRI2018, which took place April 16-18 in Las Vegas.

Eriez President and CEO Tim Shuttleworth says the company did not hesitate to donate the MLM to the 2018 RRF Silent Auction. “Eriez believes wholeheartedly in giving back. Our team is dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact on the communities where we operate and in the industries which we serve. We are proud our donation helps support the RRF and the important work it does for the recycling industry,” Shuttleworth says. “We were thrilled to learn that Andersen’s, an existing Eriez customer and leader in the field, placed the generous winning bid for the MLM.”

According to Eriez, the MLM continuously scans a scrap yard’s residue stream for metal that escaped its process and is headed for landfill disposal. Positioned either upstream or downstream of the hand picking station, the MLM sends an alert when it detects a spike in metal count, assisting operators in diagnosing and locating process breakdowns. Eriez specializes in separation technologies. The company says its magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, fluid filtration, flotation, materials-feeding, screening, conveying and controlling equipment have application in the process, metalworking, packaging, plastics, rubber, recycling, food, mining, aggregate and textile industries.
