RPM Recycling recently purchased a 90-inch wide ProSort Metal Sorter and a 60-inch wide FinesSort Separator from Eriez. According to Al Gedgaudus, Eriez Recycling product manager, the price of the equipment exceeded $500,000.
RPM will use both pieces of equipment at its scrap yard near Allentown, Pa.
ProSort improves metal separation, providing a clean product in one pass, while functioning at a fraction of the cost of air power metal sorters. Two further benefits include the reduction in monitoring compared to air sorters and an improvement in plant air quality with less dust reduction.
Eriez' new FinesSort Metals Recovery System is the ultimate in fine particle metal reclamation. FinesSort's series of powerful magnetic components recover valuable ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the fines waste stream in scrap yards.
FinesSort receives the discarded "fines" material that has passed through the initial screening process and separates the ferrous and non-ferrous from the fines waste.
