Erie, Pennsylvania-based Eriez has released three new video tutorials designed to assist in setting up and maintaining RevX-E eccentric eddy current separators (ECSs). Video topics include RevX-E preventive maintenance tips, changing and tensioning the belt and setting up and adjusting the splitter and rotor.
The videos feature RevX-E eddy currents, designed with an eccentrically mounted magnetic rotor within a non-conductive shell to separate nonferrous metals. The rare earth rotor produces a powerful and focused field at the end of the belt, says Eriez.
The maintenance tips video provides a checklist created to provide steps to take to ensure long and productive performance from RevX-E eddy current separators. It covers daily and monthly maintenance recommendations, according to Eriez.
The video focused on changing and tensioning the belt delves into the RevX-E’s cantilevered design, which enables maintenance staff to change the belt in 10 minutes, says Eriez. The video provides instructions for completing this task.
The final video in this three-part series is intended to show how to successfully and safely set up and adjust the splitter and rotor on the RevX-E ECS. It shows operators performing each step and utilizes graphics and up-close equipment views to make following along simple, says Eriez.
The three new ECS-related videos and others from Eriez can be found on the company’s YouTube channel.
