Eriez recently completed a 30,000 square foot expansion of its headquarters plant in Erie, PA. The added space gives the company the ability to manufacture large magnets and systems in-house.
"We look forward to the opportunity the expansion provides to help us serve our existing customers better, and anticipate welcoming new customers as a result of our improved capabilities," said Dan Norrgran, Eriez’ Heavy Industries Market Manager.
The Erie plant ships Eriez equipment across North America and around the world. The facility houses the company’s sales, marketing, engineering, research and manufacturing operations, as well as corporate offices. Before the expansion, which was begun in fall 2006, the plant was 100,000 square feet.
"The primary objective for expanding our Pennsylvania facility is to better serve our customers through faster delivery, more efficient service and improved quality," said Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez President and CEO. "Instead of turning to sub-contractors to build our largest magnets and systems, we can now complete those projects right here in Erie. This allows us to more closely monitor quality, deliver products more quickly and improve productivity."
