Eriez Magnets, based in Erie, Pa., has announced that Jason Easter, a buyer at its world headquarters, has been named the recipient of Senior Professional in Supply Management (SPSM) Certification by the training firm Next Level Purchasing Inc.
According to an Eriez release, Next Level Purchasing has assisted clients in more than 100 countries establish and use procurement best practices. The SPSM Certification program is comprised of a series of interactive courses that enable purchasing professionals to master skills categorized into six facets of purchasing: fundamentals, analysis and spreadsheets, contract law, negotiation, best practices and sourcing.
Charles Dominick, president and founder of Next Level Purchasing, says, “We applaud Jason for his commitment to bringing the most modern practices to his purchasing role and wish him success in delivering results for his employer while achieving his career potential.”
Easter joined the Eriez team in 2011, working in the Saws and Parts Finishing Departments, before accepting the position of junior buyer.
