Eriez Magnetics, manufacturer of technology for magnetic, vibratory and metal detection applications, has announced plans to expand its plant in Erie, Pa., which serves as the company’s world headquarters and ships Eriez equipment across North America and around the world.
The Erie, Pa., plant is currently 100,000 square feet and houses the company’s sales, marketing, engineering and manufacturing operations, as well as its corporate offices. The plant opened in 1963. The expansion will add 24,000 square feet high ceiling space to the facility. The ground breaking is scheduled for spring 2006 and work is expected to be complete by November 2006.
The announcement comes after a record year in 2005 for the company, according to a press release from Eriez. “Collectively, Eriez topped $100 million for the first time, divided almost evenly between its North American and in
ternational business,” says Tim Shuttleworth, Eriez president and CEO.
Eriez’s magnetic lift and separation, metal detection, materials feeding, screening, conveying and controlling equipment have applications in the processing, metalworking, packaging, recycling, mining, aggregate and textile industries.
