Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), based in Fresno, Calif., has been named “Company of the Year” by the Fresno’s Leading Young Professionals (FLYP) at a banquet held Oct. 23.
“It’s a great honor and privilege for ERI to be considered the ‘Company of the Year’ by such an esteemed group,” says John Shegerian, founder and chairman of ERI.
The company was recognized for its leadership in green and sustainable business practices, its commitment to social issues and its consistent development of innovative technology, according to FLYP.
“The nominating committee was especially impressed by ERI’s commitment to environmentally safe and socially responsibly business practices,” says Allison Boogaert, FLYP chairperson. “Because of its innovation in electronic recycling, in addition to a commitment to urban renewal and giving people that have been incarcerated a second chance at normalcy, the nominating committee felt that ERI made the perfect selection for the Company of the Year Award.”
