Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), based in Fresno, Calif., has named Katie Reilly program director of e-waste legislation. Reilly most recently served as director of Indiana’s e-waste program.
“We are extremely proud and excited to be adding Katie to our team here at ERI,” says John Shegerian, ERI chairman and CEO. “Anyone who has followed what Katie has done in Indiana knows what a rock star she is in the world of e-waste legislation. Indiana’s loss is the national e-waste recycling effort’s gain, as she is truly one of the brightest shining young talents in our industry. That she could have gone to work for anyone but chose the national industry leader in ERI is in itself something we are very proud of. We are confident that her skills and knowledge will be among the many assets she brings to this working relationship.”
In her new position, Reilly will be in charge of tracking and monitoring all electronic scrap legislation in the United States. She will work to ensure that ERI and its network of collectors, manufacturers and retailers are compliant with all of electronic scrap recycling programs at the state level.
