Manfred Hackl, CEO of Ansfelden, Austria-based Erema Group GmbH, has been awarded the accolade Plastics Recycling Ambassador of the Year at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe.
According to a news release from Erema, the award is given in honor of people who are particularly committed to plastics recycling.
Hackl has been with Erema since 1995, and prior to joining the management team, he was responsible for the product development and market launch of Erema’s Vacurema technology. In his current role as CEO of Erema Group and in various roles in other national and international associations, Hackl promotes plastics recycling and the circular economy across the industry and throughout Europe.
“I dedicate the Recycling Ambassador of the Year award to the employees at the Erema Group,” Hackl says. “This year, we are celebrating our 40th anniversary, and this award, just like the many we have received for our technologies over the years, shows that we can be very proud of what we have accomplished and achieved together during this time.”
According to Erema, extruders supplied by companies within the Erema Group in the past year have delivered an additional 1.6 million metric tons of recycling capacity.
