EPI Recycling Solutions LLC, based in Erie, Pa., has announced plans to expand its Sanford, N.C., plastics operations to allow the company to handle most grades of plastic scrap. To accomplish this, the company will be investing around $1 million to add a new recycling line which will allow the company to recycle more than 14 million pounds of plastics per each year.
According to EPI, the core of the expansion will be the addition of the S:GRAN recycling machine, produced by the Austrian company NGR. The new machine will allow the company to recycle multiple types of plastic in almost any form and is designed to provide options for industry, retail, hospitals and other businesses.
Duska also is president of Engineered Plastics LLC, a plastic recycler and molder based in Erie, Pa. The company’s specialty is developing, implementing and managing sustainability programs in post-industrial applications.
