The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dell Inc., electronics recycler TechTurn and the National Recycling Coalition (NRC) are joining forces to encourage residents and business in the greater Washington area to recycle their unwanted computer equipment and cell phones for Earth Day, Sunday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event, to be held at Freedom Plaza, will accept computers, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, laptops, cell phones, PDAs and accessories. Residents and businesses are asked to remove all data from hard drives and removable media such as disks, PC cards, flash drives, CD-ROMs.
