EPA Recognizes Sunnking

Sunnking Electronics Recycling, an R2- (Responsible Recycling Practices-) certified electronics recycling firm headquartered in Brockport, N.Y., has been recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with an Environmental Quality Award. The company was recognized for its work in dismantling, refurbishing and recycling electronic scrap. 

 

In a statement released following the award, New York Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (pictured at left) says, "What Sunnking has achieved here is remarkable. Not only is Sunnking's work benefiting our environment and the public health of our communities, but they are creating green jobs in an industry that is set to transform our economy. I was proud to nominate them for this award, and I am thrilled that their hard work and innovative solutions have earned them the recognition that this award brings."

 

The company has about 150 recycling collection sites in the Rochester area that allows the public to drop off items for recycling at no cost. 

 

Sunnking has been in business for more than a decade and serves all of New York state. Last year, Sunnking says it recycled 14 million pounds of electronics.
