Sunnking Electronics Recycling, an R2- (Responsible Recycling Practices-) certified electronics recycling firm headquartered in Brockport, N.Y., has been recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with an Environmental Quality Award. The company was recognized for its work in dismantling, refurbishing and recycling electronic scrap.

The company has about 150 recycling collection sites in the Rochester area that allows the public to drop off items for recycling at no cost.
Sunnking has been in business for more than a decade and serves all of New York state. Last year, Sunnking says it recycled 14 million pounds of electronics.
"I'm proud to accept this award, not only to validate the tremendous work that the people of Sunnking do every day, but to show the world that being environmentally conscious and running a successful business are not mutually exclusive – in fact, it's what we do every day here at Sunnking," says Duane Beckett, CEO of Sunnking. "On behalf of all the employees, I want to thank Congresswoman Slaughter and the EPA for recognizing the extraordinary work that we do here and for raising awareness about the merits of recycling and reusing old electronic goods."
