EPA to hold availability session, public hearing on Transformer Recycling’s expansion permit.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 5 and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management will host an availability session and public hearing on a storage permit application for Transformer Decommissioning LLC.
The availability session will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in Madison, Ind.
The public meeting will follow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, the public comment period has been extended through May 12, 2005.
EPA and IDEM representatives will explain the application and permitting process and answer questions from residents individually or in small groups.
Comments will be formally recorded and can be made orally or in written form.
