European Metal Recycling Ltd., (EMR) Warrington, U.K., has appointed Edward Pysden as a non-executive director. EMR is one of the largest scrap metal recycling companies in the world.
Phillip Sheppard, EMR’s chairman, notes, “Edward has acted as a valued adviser to the EMR group for over 30 years, during which time he has played an important role in the growth of the business. In particular, his contribution to EMR’s acquisition strategy, in both the U.K. and the United States, has been invaluable and has been a key factor in our development as a major global business. We are delighted that he has accepted this position and the board looks forward to the contribution that Edward will undoubtedly make in the future.
“I have had the pleasure of working closely with the management team at EMR and seeing firsthand the growth of the company into a global and industry-leading metal recycler. I will be joining the board at an exciting time in its development and welcome the opportunity to assist in its continuing success in my role as a non-executive director,” says Pysden.
