Emery Winslow Scale Co., Seymour, Conn., has introduced the RoadWeigh II Truck Scale, which the company says is designed for applications that require an above-ground installation as an option to a shallow pit, eliminating the need for approach aprons.
The weigh-bridge is constructed of 12-inch wide flange beams and 12-inch C-channels for strength and durability, according to the company. The standard top deck is a ¼-inch diamond safety plate with an optional 3/8-inch plate for heavy-duty applications.
According to Emery Winslow, the RoadWeigh II Series is designed without any electronic components beneath the weighbridge and designed with the Hydrostatic PermaCell, which the company says provides immunity to environmental factors that cause electronic load cells to fail. The PermaCell is guaranteed for life against failure from lightning, water and rodents. It also comes with a 10-year warranty against failure from defects in material and workmanship.
