Elite Waste Disposal, based in Jordan, Minn., has started offering weekly commercial waste collection to businesses in Belle Plaine, Carver, Chaska, Jordan and Victoria, Minn.
In September of 2008 the company was awarded a five-year contract for residential garbage and recycling collection for the city of Jordan. That service has been expanded to the other four cities now serviced by commercial collection as well.
“We have had great response to our services,” says Troy Schuette, president and founder of Elite Waste Disposal. “Since entering the commercial side of the business, we have already earned a number of business accounts. On the residential side, the response to our service has been outstanding. Once residents found out that a huge national waste company was taking over the business of a couple of local firms, they began calling Elite to switch to us,” says Schuette.
The refuse collected by Elite Waste Disposal is turned into energy of one form or another. The recyclables collected in the single-sort recycling service go to a company that provides what Elite calls “an effective and affordable recycling program.”
The company says it also has more than 500 dumpsters used at construction and demolition sites. The residential collection business currently serves some 3,500 customers.
