The National Center for Electronics Recycling, the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and the West Virginia Solid Waste Management Board have announced that an electronics recycling event will be held in West Virginia’s Putnam County Saturday, Aug. 19.
The event, which is also being sponsored by the Putnam County Solid Waste Authority, is being held at the Home Depot parking lot at
Answering machines, camcorders, compact disc players, copiers, electric typewriters, fax machines, hard drives, laptops, cell phones, pages, personal computers, printers, televisions and VCRs are among the items that will be accepted for recycling. However, microwaves, smoke detectors and large household appliances will not be accepted.
The event is free, though each vehicle is limited to 10 items.
