The viewpoints toward recycling of several consumer and office place electronics original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will be heard at the Electronics Recycling Asia event, taking place Nov. 11-14, 2014, in Singapore.
The event’s three-day program includes appearances from the following representatives of large OEMs:
- Kok Wah Boey of Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific and Japan, Singapore, as a member of a panel discussion titled “Do we need to regulate our recycling businesses even more?;"
- Stephen Rodgers of Ericsson, Sweden, discussing “Ericsson product take-back in Asia and globally;"
- Crystynna Ewe of Dell’s Singapore office along with Patrick SN Lin of Taiwan-based contract manufacturer Wistron Corp. on “Closed loop recycling;" and
- Monina De Vera-Jacob of Hewlett-Packard Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Singapore, on “HP’s recycling solution in Asia Pacific.”
The speakers from these global OEM firms will be joined on the roster by recyclers, policy advocates, metals refiners and technology providers for programming that starts Wednesday morning, Nov. 13 and concludes late Thursday afternoon, Nov. 14.
The organizers of the event, Switzerland-based ICM AG, also are offering tours of recycling facilities and workshops on electronics recycling certification Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Friday, Nov. 14.
Electronics Recycling Asia is being held at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore.
