Computer Recyclers Inc. announced that it has passed the six-month mark in its End of Life Recycling Program.
During the past six months the company has collected more than 200,000 pounds of electronics and computer scrap.
A report commissioned for Environment Canada in 2002, showed that 341 million pounds of obsolete high tech equipment was discarded in Canada, and 308 million pounds of it, or 90 percent, ended up in landfill.
