The Electronic Industries Alliance has developed an electronics collection and recycling pilot project. The program is slated to begin in October.
The EIA is working in cooperation with Canon, Hewlett Packard, JVC, Kodak, Nokia, Panasonic, Philips Electronics, Sharp, Sony and Thomson.
The pilot will take place in selected states. Several different models of collection and recycling, and their financing, will be tested for a one-year period.
