The organizers of the E-Mobility and Circular Economy Conference, taking place July 1-3, 2019, at the Hotel Westin in Tokyo, are calling for potential presenters to submit their topic outlines if they wish to participate in the event.
Switzerland-based ICM AG says electric vehicle (EV) recycling will be the focus of its re-branded annual Asian recycling conference, which in the past has been held under the names Electronics & Cars Recycling Asia and World Recycling Forum-Electronics Recycling Asia
“The e-mobility revolution is undeniable,” states ICM in its “call for papers” announcing the event. ICM says the Paris-based International Energy Agency expects the number of electric cars on the road to increase from 2 million in 2016 to 70 million in 2025.
The 2019 Tokyo event will focus on how the growing presence of EVs will affect “eco-design, the circular economy, recycling and [the] raw materials supply,” says ICM.
The conference organizer says it will welcome presentations pertaining to services, technologies and future designs in the field of e-mobility, power distribution and energy storage.
ICM also is working to set up demonstration rides in electric vehicles and tours of facilities related to the EV sector.
In addition to focusing on EV passenger cars, ICM says the event also will consider the raw material supply chains and recycling of electric trucks, bikes, drones, toys, planes and helicopters, plus the power storage and distribution systems of all vehicles.
