Eldan Recycling reports record sales in 2018

Danish recycling equipment manufacturer Eldan Recycling says it achieved the highest sales figure in its 62-year history in 2018. According to a news release, the results were enabled by global regulatory changes in waste management, as well as the development of the Eldan recycling equipment line.

The small and medium capacity cable recycling systems “have been further developed to customer requests.” In addition, new prechoppers for cable and tire recycling have been launched.

“We saw a 50 percent increase in orders of cables recycling lines and a 20 percent increase in orders of tire recycling lines,” Eldan CEO Toni Reftman states. “We expected an increase in demand this year, but the expectations were met many times around.”

Advances in the market of electrical components made it possible to develop a frequency drive Eldan Super Chopper with lower power consumption, the company says. Eldan also launched a new twin shaft clean-cut shredder for production of tire chips from car or truck tires. The company expects the interest to continue to increase in 2019.

“We also see a large increase in the demand for e-waste recycling equipment,” Reftman says. “We are currently developing small capacity WEEE recycling lines to meet regional requests.”

There are also plans to expand the production facility in Denmark, he says.
