Denmark-based Eldan Recycling A/S has announced Gatim Srl, a tyre recycler based in Lamezia Terme, Italy, has expanded its operations with the installation of new equipment.
In November 2016, Gatim added an additional granulator and classifier at its tyre recycling facility as well as a tumble back feeder upstream to the facility’s existing Rasper shredder, according to Eldan.
The original Eldan tyre recycling plant, supplied in 2001, is now capable of producing high-quality rubber granulate with 99.9% purity at more than 3,000 kilograms per production hour (referred to as tyres input).
Since 1995 rubber granules produced by Gatim have been used in the construction of soccer fields and soccer artificial turf, insulating panels, rubber and textile, and rubber flooring that are used in civil building, as well as public and private instances.
Since 1956 Eldan Recycling A/S has been developing machinery and methods for making the recycling of tyres, cables and WEEE, for example, efficient and profitable. Eldan Recycling A/S delivers both turnkey systems as well as single machines and has installed more than 900 plants and 7,100 single machines worldwide.
