The electronics recycling and IT asset management firm ECS Refining has hired Michael Tejero as director of sales. Tejero’s responsibilities include overseeing sales efforts within California, pricing management and developing ECS Refining’s market share among large enterprise businesses.
Tejero has more than 16 years of experience in the recycling industry, including stints with The Newark Group and Allied Waste Services. He also started a hauling and consulting business, California Waste Consultants, which he eventually sold to Republic Waste Services.
“I am looking forward to managing this sales division with a similar rapid-growth approach,” Tejero says. “ECS Refining is well-positioned and has the capabilities to penetrate the enterprise market, and I am excited to be on the front end of that movement. My goal is to drive us into this sector and be a true full-service provider to not only collectors but to the business community as well.”
ECS Refining, headquartered in Santa Clara, Calif., has operations in Santa Clara, Stockton and Gardena, Calif.; Terrell and Mesquite, Texas; Medford, Ore.; and Chippewa Falls, Wis.
