The Gulf Coast Technology Council, a program of the Mobile (Alabama) Area Chamber of Commerce, has named Ecovery LLC, Loxley, Ala., its Innovator of the Year, according to local press reports.
Ecovery recovers aluminum, copper, gold, silver and plastics from automotive and electronic scrap materials. The company was founded in 2008 with a staff of 10. It has grown to employ 25 people.
In addition to growth in the area of staffing, Ecovery’s processing capacity has increased from 160,000 pounds per month to more than 1 million pounds per month since its founding.
