Economizer, a South Attleboro, Mass.-based recycling equipment manufacturer, has introduced the EXS Extreme Duty Single-Shaft Shredder available in three models: EXS1500, EXS2000 and EXS3000.
The company says, the EXS Series is designed with heavy duty parts to handle multiple materials, including large extruder purgings, large reject parts, trim scraps, baled or loose film, synthetic fiber, wood processing scrap, medical waste, cardboard, paper and carpet. According to the company, features of the new shredder include:
· Serrated ram plates to hold materials in the rotor and process large pieces
· Swing-style ram to minimize space and allow the products to fall into the rotor
· Outboard mounted bearings to reduce contamination
· 29.5-inch diameter rotor for positive ingestion
· Reversible square cutters for quick changes
Additional optional features include: hydraulic screen cradle, rotor cooling, PLC controls with display, chamber wear protection and infeed and discharge conveyors.
