Ecomondo Attracts Thousands to Italy

Event included exhibit hall and speakers.

The 14th Ecomondo International Trade Fair on Material & Energy Recovery & Sustainable Development organized by Rimini Fiera attracted thousands of attendees. The environmental trade show held in conjunction with two other events, Key Energy and Cooperambiente, attracted more than 65,000 visitors to Rimini, Italy, in early November. This figure is an increase of 2.8 percent compared with 2009 attendance.

Ecomondo organizers say more than 2,000 business meetings were organized in the expo center.
More than 1,000 companies exhibited at the 2010 Ecomondo expo, occupying 13 halls of the expo center. The waste sector, which included recycling, material recovery and ELV (end-of-life vehicles), was just one of the sectors represented at the expo.
More than 250 technical papers and 700 speakers were part of the Ecomondo 2010 conference program.
“At this edition, Ecomondo again confirmed its growth trend, providing visiting trade and industry members an exhaustive overview of the technologies and projects that are the key players of sustainable development,” says Rimini Fiera Chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni. “I´m proud to say we did a good job: The expo is already heading for the top at European level and, thanks to the work carried out together with our institutional partners, has achieved a truly authoritative position for the contents it provides.”
