Ecomondo/Key Energy to take place in November

Event is scheduled for Nov. 7-10, 2017, in Rimini, Italy.

Ecomondo/Key Energy, the event organized by IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) and hosted at Rimini Expo Centre from Nov. 7-10, 2017, bills itself as the first European exhibition on circular economy in the Mediterranean area. The event brings together all the sectors of circular economy, from material and energy recovery to waste management and exploitation. It features more than 1,200 companies exhibiting their products and processes and 105,000 delegates from more than 40 countries, according to IEG.

In terms of recycling, the event organizer says special attention will be dedicated to equipment and technologies for the selection and recovery of ferrous and nonferrous scrap and its preparation for sale, the treatment of special and hazardous waste and the recovery and treatment of WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment). At the show, plenty of space will be dedicated to major technological innovations, the latest new patents and products for solid and liquid waste collection and removal vehicles and vehicles for road and industrial cleaning and maintenance.

At Ecomondo/Key Energy, attendees will find a comprehensive range of technological solutions for the management and use of waste flows, focusing on efficient use of resources and secondary raw materials, innovative systems for recycling and exploiting all types of waste, advanced waste collection systems, wood, plastics and liquid waste, IEG says.

The exhibition will be supported by a calendar of events and workshops, among which is Municipal Waste Management in Urban Areas: Comparing International Experiences in the Perspective of Circular Economy, planned for the morning of Nov. 8. This annual meeting will review progress in municipal waste management and compare experiences in urban areas in different European countries. The goal is to analyze the results achieved in these urban frameworks in the light of different national contexts to find the best methodologies.

IEG says Italy is among the leading countries in Europe in the green and circular economy, particularly in terms of energy efficiency, recycling and resource productivity. For this reason, Ecomondo/Key Energy is where the leading companies in the sector can meet to discover the trends, innovations and new technologies, as well as to exchange their views on the circular economy.
